Terms Of Use
1. Service Agreement
Thank you for choosing Appliance Worx for your appliance repair services. By using our services, you agree to the following terms of service that set the foundation of our relationship with you, our valued customer. This document serves as the entire agreement governing the appliance repair services provided by our company, including but not limited to oven repair service, washer repair, dryer repair, dishwasher repair, and the servicing of other major home appliances. Please read these terms carefully to understand your responsibilities, our obligations, and the boundaries of our liability during and after the repair process.
When you book an appointment with Appliance Worx, our Appliance Repair Experts are dedicated to delivering high-quality repairs using industry-approved tools and practices. The terms of service provided herein cover essential aspects of our repair services, including access requirements, liability details, warranties, and customer expectations. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth experience for both our technicians and our customers.
2. Technician Entry and Access
To perform repairs effectively, our service technicians require appropriate access to your home. Upon arrival, our technicians will need clear access to the appliance that requires repair. We ask that customers ensure that the area around the appliance is unobstructed, as complex components such as cabinets, countertops, or other fixtures can interfere with the repair process. Customers are responsible for removing items that may hinder the technicians’ ability to work safely and efficiently.
Our technicians may need to use your water supply, electricity, and ventilation systems to perform specific appliance repairs. By agreeing to our terms of service, you authorize our technicians to utilize these utilities during the repair process. Please make sure that all connections, such as water valves, are functioning correctly and are easily accessible. For example, during refrigeration equipment repair or dishwasher repair, the water drainage requirements must be met to ensure proper functioning.
When our technicians cannot access the appliance due to obstructions or non-compliance with these access requirements, Appliance Worx reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the appointment. Depending on the circumstances, such cancellations may be subject to additional fees. Our goal is to minimize disruptions while delivering the highest-quality service possible.
3. Responsibilities of the Customer
To provide efficient and effective repair services, Appliance Worx relies on customers to fulfill specific responsibilities. By agreeing to our services, you understand that the following responsibilities are required:
3.1 Provide Access to the Appliance
It is essential for customers to provide proper access to the appliance that requires servicing. Our service technicians must be able to safely and efficiently reach the appliance, as well as any required utility connections, such as water valves and electrical outlets.
If your appliance is surrounded by complex components such as cabinetry, built-in units, or counter tops, you are responsible for removing these obstructions before our arrival. If our technicians are unable to reach the appliance due to insufficient access, we may be unable to complete the repair, which could result in additional fees for rescheduling.
3.2 Utility and Safety Requirements
During the repair process, our technicians may need to use utilities, such as electricity, water supply, and ventilation systems. Please ensure that these utilities are readily available and functioning correctly. Providing safe and accessible utility connections helps to prevent potential hazards, such as unintended leakage, electrical shock, or other risks of damage.
Customers should also inform our technicians of any known risks or concerns, such as the presence of fragile surfaces that could result in counter damage or risk of breakage. By proactively sharing this information, our technicians can take appropriate precautions to avoid accidental damage.
- Scope of Repair Work
The scope of work provided by Appliance Worx is limited to the specific appliance and issue identified at the time of booking. We perform a wide variety of repairs on major appliances, including refrigeration equipment, ovens, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more.
4.1 Repair Services Covered
The following repairs are included in our scope of service:
- Oven Repair Service: Including issues such as heating problems, thermostat malfunctions, and electrical failures.
- Washer Repair: Covering common issues like drum malfunctions, leaks, and electrical problems.
- Dryer Repair: Addressing heating problems, noisy dryer issues, and motor failures.
- Dishwasher Repair: Resolving problems such as poor drainage, unintended leakage, and electrical faults.
Our technicians will assess the appliance and perform the necessary initial repair to address the identified issue. However, some conditions may require extensive repairs or replacement of complex components, which may extend beyond the initial scope. Should additional repairs be required, our technicians will provide a detailed explanation of the issue, along with the associated costs, so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.
4.2 Exclusions from Repair Services
Certain types of repairs or services are not covered under our standard terms. These exclusions include:
- Repairs to appliances that are deemed beyond repair due to age, component failure, or extensive prior damage.
- Repairs to appliances where parts are obsolete or no longer available.
- Services related to appliances that have been previously tampered with or repaired by unauthorized third parties.
- Structural modifications, such as cutting or altering cabinets, countertops, or flooring, to accommodate the appliance.
5. Liability for Damages
At Appliance Worx, we prioritize the safety of your home and property during every service call. However, there are inherent risks associated with appliance repair, particularly when dealing with older appliances or complex components. As such, we include specific liability limitations in our terms of service.
5.1 Waiver of Damages
By engaging our services, you agree to a Waiver of Damages, acknowledging that Appliance Worx is not liable for consequential damages, incidental damages, or damages for loss that may occur during the repair process. This includes, but is not limited to, any damages resulting from component failure, risk of breakage, or unforeseen issues that arise during the repair.
For example, while our technicians take every precaution to avoid damage, there is a risk of damage to fragile items, such as counter tops, adjacent cabinetry, or flooring, during the removal or installation of an appliance. By agreeing to these terms, you accept these potential risks.
5.2 Limitation of Liability
Appliance Worx is not liable for any PERSONAL INJURY, property damage, or loss of income resulting from appliance malfunction or repair. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided, and we will not be held responsible for any consequential damages or incidental damages resulting from appliance downtime, loss of use, or replacement costs.
Customers are encouraged to review and sign our DAMAGE WAIVERS before any work is performed to fully understand the limitations of liability.
6. Use of Replacement Parts
Our Appliance Repair Experts use high-quality standard materials and replacement parts to provide reliable repairs. Depending on the appliance and availability, we may use original manufacturer parts or equivalent alternatives that meet the same quality standards.
6.1 Types of Parts Used
- Original Parts: Where possible, we use original parts from the appliance manufacturer to maintain the integrity of the appliance.
- Equivalent Parts: In some instances, original parts may no longer be available, especially for older or discontinued models. In such cases, we use high-quality, equivalent parts that ensure optimal performance.
Our service technicians will always discuss the type of parts being used and obtain your approval before proceeding. We aim to provide effective repairs that extend the lifespan of your appliance, regardless of the type of part used.
7. Warranty on Repairs
Appliance Worx stands by the quality of our work. We provide a one-year warranty for parts and labor on repairs performed by our technicians. This warranty covers any issues directly related to the repair work completed and guarantees reliable service.
7.1 Warranty Coverage
- Parts and Labor: The one-year warranty includes parts and labor used in the repair.
- Component Failure: If a component replaced by Appliance Worx fails within the warranty period, we will replace it at no additional cost.
7.2 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Issues unrelated to the original repair.
- Damages resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow maintenance instructions.
- Repairs or modifications made by third parties after our initial service.
- Consequential damages or incidental damages arising from the failure of a repaired component.
8. Limitations of Liability
While our expert technicians take every precaution to ensure a successful repair, there are inherent risks involved in appliance repair. Appliance Worx cannot guarantee absolute security against issues such as counter damage, PERSONAL INJURY, or risk of breakage during repairs involving complex components.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the services rendered, and we will not be held responsible for any consequential damages, incidental damages, or damages for loss resulting from the appliance’s failure or related issues.
9. Health and Safety Protocols
The health and safety of both our customers and technicians are of the utmost importance to Appliance Worx. We follow strict protocols to ensure a safe working environment during every repair. This includes:
- The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by our technicians.
- Adherence to social distancing and cleanliness guidelines, where applicable.
- Ensuring proper ventilation systems are in place when working with gas or electric appliances.
Customers are expected to cooperate with these protocols to minimize the risk of injury, damage, or other hazards. If our technicians determine that health and safety requirements are not being met, they reserve the right to postpone or cancel the service until conditions improve.
10. Payment Terms
All customers are required to adhere to the payment terms outlined at the time of booking. Appliance Worx accepts multiple payment methods, including credit card, cash, and check. Full payment is expected upon completion of the repair, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
10.1 Credit Card Payments
If you choose to pay by credit card, you authorize Appliance Worx to charge the card for the total amount due, including parts, labor, and any applicable fees. We take the security of your payment information seriously and use secure payment processing methods to protect your data.
10.2 Breach of Contract
Failure to provide payment as agreed constitutes a breach of contract. In the event of non-payment, Appliance Worx reserves the right to pursue all legal remedies available, including but not limited to placing a lien on the serviced property or taking legal action to recover the amount owed.
11. Rescheduling and Cancellations
We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Appliance Worx aims to be flexible; however, we request that you provide notice as early as possible to avoid inconvenience.
11.1 Rescheduling
To reschedule an appointment, please contact us directly. We will do our best to accommodate your new preferred date and time. However, repeated rescheduling may be subject to additional fees.
11.2 Cancellations
If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations without reasonable notice may result in a cancellation fee to compensate for the technician’s time and travel. Appliance Worx reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments from time to time due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions or technician unavailability.
12. Use of Customer Property
During the repair process, our technicians may need to use customer utilities such as water supply, electricity, and ventilation systems. By agreeing to these terms of service, you consent to the use of these utilities for repair purposes. We strive to use customer property responsibly and minimize any risk of damage. If a risk of breakage or unintended leakage occurs during the use of these utilities, Appliance Worx will not be held liable.
14. Communication Consent
You consent to receive communication from Appliance Worx regarding your repair by using our services. This includes:
- Follow-up messages to ensure that the repair was successful and your appliance is functioning correctly.
- Appointment confirmations and reminders to help you stay informed about scheduled service visits.
- Promotional purposes and marketing materials related to our services. If you wish to opt out of promotional communication, you can do so by contacting us directly.
15. Legal Terms
These terms of service form the complete agreement between Appliance Worx and the customer regarding appliance repair services. Any verbal representations made by technicians or company representatives are not binding unless documented in this agreement. This complete agreement supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and warranties, whether written or oral.
Appliance Worx shall not be held responsible for any breach of contract by the customer, including failure to provide proper access, failure to disclose complex components, refusal to sign DAMAGE WAIVERS, or failure to provide timely payment.
If you have any questions about these terms or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us before your scheduled appointment. Our goal is to ensure that you fully understand our services, obligations, and your responsibilities as a customer.
